As July has come and is now about gone, I see some wheat leaving the fields and next will be Soybeans. The cool summer has kept me in the mood for Fall, and that is a good thing. It is my favorite time of year.
We are going to be at the Great Lakes Longbow Invitational on Aug 7-8-9 2009 and then we plan to be up to the Superior Bowmen shoot the following weekend. We should have a few vests and some bows for you to look at and try out. We would like you to stop buy the both and say Hi if you can.
We have some new things to talk about and will be adding them to the site soon. It sure does take longer than I want it to, but thats me and computers. We are now offering our Premium Bow blanks, A kids bow called the “DINGO”. And we will be putting together some bow making workshops for this late summer/early fall. Call and set up your workshop soon, I am busy after October 1st.
Bless and be Blessed,
Two Tracks
I wanted to take a moment to thank all of the folks that stopped by the booth at the Compton shoot. We had a ruff start when the tent fell on our set-up. We came out pretty good with just cosmetic damage. Others lost bows and other gear, but all in all it was a fine show and you all are a real blessing to us and the other vendors.
I would also like to thank you for your patients with getting the website updated. I will be working on it this week until it is finished, then it will be off to the web-master. I hope it will be updated over the next two weeks. If you have any questions for us we would like to have you give a call or email( chuck@twotracksbow.com )and we will be happy to help you anyway we can. We have some new stuff coming out so stay tuned and get ready, it will be worth it.
Bless and Be Blessed,
Chuck-

This psat Saturday I had Duane Tufts, A contest winner from Michigan, in the shop to work on his bow blank. We spent the day talking about bows and making shavings, Duane got a taste of scraping and rasping, tillering and sanding. We had one limb that was a little troublsome, but we got the bow bending proper and shooting good. I wanted to post more photos but We got to busy making a bow and the pictures got left behind. Thats my fault, I will do better next time.
I hope everyone is enjoying the spring, Flowers are poking up and the birds and frogs are singing away. It is a great time of year to see and here the life that goes on around us. I LOVE IT!
I would like to invite you all to the 16th annual Marshall primitive rendevous. It is Memorial day week end and is all about fun and wood bows, Atalatls, flint knapping and more. You may also call Brian Cowles at 269-965-5715, He is the man in charge. Come on down and make a bow or knapp some flint, shoot some arrows and enjoy a nice and relaxing weekend. We will be having the “Across the pond shoot” also. Always fun.

Charlie Two Tracks
We would like to congratulate the winners of our free bow blank give-a-way.
(1) Duane Tufts from Michigan. (2) Jon Williams from Kansas and (3) Chester Thompson from Texas.
We had so many entries that we decided to draw for three winners. So, after Church on Sunday I read the names off the computer and my wife Chris had the task of writing all the names down on papers and our daughter, Jessica pulled the names out of my hunting hat. Congratulations to the three winners!
I spent this past weekend with a fellow Bow maker and wood guy, Mike Pyeatt. We picked up about a dozen or so osage trees. It was a cold start, but we had no snow to deal with and it was a wonderful day all around. This osage will go well with all of the nice clean Hickory I picked up the week prior.
Thanks again to all who entered our contest.

We are less than a week away from the free Give-A- Way. Hurry and get your name in the hat.
I want to thank everyone that has called or emailed us to wish us well. We are enjoying talking to everyone and I hope to see you at a show or two this spring and summer.
This is a vest we made for our friend, John McCullogh. some of you got to see it at the K-ZOO expo. I thought I would share it with the rest of you. Enjoy!
Thanks, Chuck
Well we had a short visit to the k-zoo expo this past weekend and had a great time with our friends. We met a few new folks and look forward to seeing you at other shoots this spring and summer.
I would like to take this time to tell you about our wool products. We have had a flock of sheep for the past five years and have raised them for the fine wool that they produce. We then have the raw fleece processed into a cleaned and carded batt, that we then turn into our custom felt products. For those of you unfamiliar with felt and the felting process, we will be giving more details on that very soon. Until then I can tell you that it is a long and tidious task to get a piece of yardage that will then get sewn into a Hunters vest. My wife is the felting guru, but I have been involved with it from the onset. we spend hours at the felting table rolling our custom felt fabrics so we can offer you a truly custom garment. For those of you that we spoke with and showed our vest to at the k-zoo show, we thank you for your intrest, for those that are still curious, be sure to check us out at an up coming show. you will be glad to see this fabulous product that is raised and hand made at our Ovid, Mi farm.
I also would like to ask you to contact us and let us know what you would like to see in a custom bow or wool garment. My effort has always been for you, The customer, I want to offer you what you want in a bow or wool product, and now I will give you a chance to tell me what you want. Go to the web site and click the contact us page or email me at chuck@twotracksbow.com and let me know what you like.
Just a little teaser now, I have a new American flat bow that I am putting the finishing touches on and I think you all will like this bow. A bit more handle than a longbow and very smooth and quiet. Should make for a fun turkey season. Look for it on the web site soon, and also at the shows. The next offering will be a two and three piece takedown. This is just a bit of what we have been up to this winter.
Our show line-up will be posted soon, as well as a list of bow building workshops. We will post it here and on the wood bows page of www.twotracksbow.com . LOOK FOR IT SOON!
Thanks, Charlie Two Tracks

As the hunting season keeps going we find ourselves with a new month,a new time change, and after Tuesday we will have a new Pesident. For most of us this election is like the things we have only read about in books or listen to our parents or grandparents talk about. Something will happen on this election day that has not happend in the USA before. We will wittness history in a unique way and it is our duty as citizens to be a part of it. What ever your choice, get out and cast your vote and be an active part of getting this great country back on track. We have had and wil continue to have a ruff time for a while more, and we must dig our heels in and make some hard choices to ensure we are not a part of the dire stats that plague our headline. Lets live within our means and position ourselves to weather the storm and be ready to help those that are less fortunate.
I wish you all well at the polls this Tuesday and in the Deer woods this fall .
